TECHNICS TO UNLEASH NEW SL-1200 MODEL TURNTABLE?

Technics is known for their turntable quality engineering, though the company has been noticeably absent in releasing new revisions. Recently through their Instagram page, the company has heavily hinted at a new product, the MK7. With recent turntables released by rival companies Pioneer and Reloop, can Technics reclaim their place as the equipment king of vinyl head and turntablists? Maybe so but according to Technics president Hiro Morishita, the company does not want to market their popular staple as a DJ focused target. "We don't want to market the 1200 as a tool for DJs. The 1200 is the 1200" says Hiro. While its understandable that the President would like to reach a wider audience, he should also remember the core group that supported the company for years.
